A moment in time, captured forever...

As most parents will tell you, our children grow all too quickly and before you know it, there are many experiences and days out as a family that we, or they, have long since forgotten!

The fun times that can be had by just walking in the park, kicking leaves, climbing trees, brothers and sisters chasing each other or just looking around us and chatting about nature.  These are special but fleeting family moments.

Our beautiful surrounding landscape here in Surrey, especially at this time of year, offers no ends of opportunities for some stunning pictures which will hopefully be adorning the walls of these family homes for years to come.

I offer really competitive rates for family shoots and can photograph out at one of your favourite places (with permission of course!) or in the comfort of your own home or garden.  For more information, do take a look at my website and give me a call to talk things through.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to capture these special moments in time…

Hampton Court Preferred supplier

I must admit it has been hard work to keep this under wraps until Hampton Court made the press release yesterday, but I am delighted to say that I am now a Hampton Court Palace preferred supplier for Wedding and Event photography.  It really is an amazing venue and one in which I hope to  photograph many weddings.  I cannot wait to go back and get some great images in the gardens and interiors that are steeped in history.

It's all part of the service...

One of the most important parts of any wedding preparation for me is having a pre-shoot with each of my couples.

Although we’ve usually met and talked at some length about their plans and ideas, it is at the pre-shoot that I really get to know the Bride and Groom much better.  As we all know, some people are not comfortable in front of the camera.  I like to get a feel for how they react both with the camera and with each other.

It’s really important to me that my couples feel comfortable and relaxed on their special day.  I like to find out a bit more about what makes them laugh and give useful guidance on posing so that it feels as natural as possible on the big day.

These pre-shoots don’t take long, are fun and informal and also give the couple the chance to get to know me better and have some wonderful pre-wedding photography too!

Very helpful to nail out any funny smiles or Chandler faces as I call them!

If you’re reading this as one of my past wedding clients, why not consider some up-to-date photography of you as a couple or even as a growing family?

Here are just a few of the images from pre-shoots that I have been doing recently…

"Baby it's cold (and overcast) outside..."

... but that doesn’t stop this fun couple, Christine and Will, posing for some beautiful outdoor shots in the grounds of the magnificent Great Fosters Hotel in Egham.

Then it was back into the 14th Century Tithe Barn for a cosy and stunning reception to warm up.

It’s always interesting as a photographer to see the different trends in weddings from year to year.  Some like magical winter whites work so beautifully and are absolutely timeless.  Add a splash of strong colour as our bride Christine did here and some soft lighting and you’ve created a great sense of drama and atmosphere for your evening reception.

Here are the finished results...
