Long may this September sunshine last…

It’s still a busy period for weddings for me and so I’m happy to be benefiting from some late September sunshine, as I’m sure you are too.  It certainly makes for a happy Bride and Groom and some great outdoor lighting effects for us photographers.

For example, the lighting was great in some of these images.  It was Katie & Kevin’s wedding at Amberley Castle in Sussex.  This 900 year old castle is a unique luxury hotel in the picturesque village of Amberley at the foot of the South Downs.

There were some wonderfully personal touches on the day too - look out for the personalized tankard given by the Bride to the Groom and the black bridesmaids dresses looked stunning.  Everyone had a great day!

Happy to say it was another recommendation for me, about the 6th wedding that’s come off the back of one I shot about 5 years earlier, which makes me feel really proud.

On another note, a big thank you to the team at Surrey Brides who have been giving out my flyers to their brides-to-be in goody bags at a Wedding Fair this weekend.  Hope you had a great day guys and I appreciate you recommending me too!

Thanks,
Roger

Don't you just love a good wedding...?

Wow, weddings, weddings and more weddings!  It’s been a busy few weeks, I’ve certainly clocked up a few miles (Durham, Chester, Cornwall to name but a few places I’ve been lucky enough to visit).  I’m pleased to say things are looking good for 2015 too, it’s great to see that the recession is well and truly over and more people are getting married again.  All very exciting and on top of that, there's been plenty of corporate work too, including shoots in Paris and Stuttgart over the last couple of weeks.

I’ve been travelling so much over the summer which I love but it’s always good to come back to my old stomping ground, the Great Fosters Hotel in Egham.

Bride and Groom Heather and Jon chose this stunning venue for their wedding and although I’ve photographed there many times before, I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many flowers decorating the hotel.  It was beautiful to see the way they had chosen to use vintage crockery, lighting and so many colourful flowers, it all looked amazing!

Heather & Jon came to me via Pippa Milner, a stylist whose wedding I’d photographed back in 2011 on my 40th birthday.  Thanks Pippa!  We had met up a few times before and I had done a pre-shoot for them with their dogs at Virginia Water Lake which was fun.  I’m pleased to say the dogs weren’t present at the wedding to ruin Heather’s dress though!

This is just a small selection from the 700 images I’ve supplied to the Bride and Groom, such a great day.  Hope you enjoy them!

More soon.  Bye for now.
