One of my ex-students, a now established
photographer in his own right, kindly recommended me to bride and groom-to-be Sophie & Ben. It’s great to be able to help
each other out when one of us isn’t available for work and I was privileged to be able
to take on such a lovely wedding.
It was “down’t mill” for their special day (forgive the clichéd Yorkshire
speech!) as Sophie & Ben chose Coltsford Mill, a stunning contemporary barn
in Surrey. This hidden gem is set in a
secluded waterside location on the Surrey Kent border only about 15 miles from
London. Coltsford Mill is a photographer’s
dream, it’s bathed in natural light and has panoramic views of 12 acres of land
with lakes and flowing cascades fed by the river Eden.
There was a
wonderful mix of Greek and Irish at this wedding, which set the stage for some
great dancing and lots of Guinness!
I hope you
like the images I’ve posted here…
Finally, before I sign
off, I thought I’d share a few tips for all those Tweeters amongst you. If you’re planning a wedding or know someone
who is, why not follow #weddinghour (Wednesday nights between 9 and 10pm) and
#bridehour (Thursday nights between 8 and 9pm).
Packed with useful tips and ideas being shared by brides, wedding planners and suppliers around the UK, you may also find me tweeting on there too!
I hope you’re
having a great summer. Things are busy as always at
this end, although I have managed a brief spot of camping with my young family
which was a lot of fun!
Best wishes,
Roger
